I have a problem ==" when i download the client, run it, a patcher will pop up and patch my folder. If i let it patch, they'll say unable to connect to server / the client outdated. If i turn the patcher off, it appear again monocle

I got into the game past the sign in and everything, but after I select my character and put in the PIC it freezes and becomes non-responsive.

You're probably connecting to GMS or another private server. Make sure mapleorigins client is in your maplestory folder and is being run as administrator. Also try taking other private server clients out of your maplestory folder.

I only have that one private server in my folder and i didnt run gms because it would've patched itself AND it would've brought up the launcher

I'm not sure what else you could try :S It seems a few other players are having the same problem as you though.
