The text in the thread is a little hard to see. Maybe the main text background shouldn't be green, or the text at least shouldn't match the background.

The sides of the forum are empty, or I'm just zooming out too much.
It's always cool to add something on the sides, but it's not really necessary, and you'd have to get art.

Buttons are pretty nice. +1 grass background.

I really like the blue, and sorry for the bad comparison before. Only thing I could think of at the time.

The old original one was cleaner in my opinion.. This one is cute but crowded.
Maybe try making the buttons on posts (quote, edit, delete, etc.) smaller.
Also the top banner seems a bit short on width. If you make it wider it'll probably make things more proportional.

Suggestion, the forum is very light now and has a great air to it, but to pull it together, why don't you use some of the blue from the picture to tie it all together. I think the light shad of green and the blue from the guys hat in the setting at the top would partner perfectly together!
