Donation Trouble
Well I am trying to donate. Since I don't have a credit card yet I have to use my debit card (not actual debit card). So i go to paypal to send the money to mapleorigin@gmail.com and i type in my 13 digit debit card number and all of the other info. Then once i click continue, it says "Card Number: You have entered an invalid or partial credit or debit card number. Please check your entry and try again." Then what ever i try to do it says the same thing. Can someone please help me

Re: Donation Trouble
Can your debit card be used as a CREDIT card or it's simply a debit card?
If so, you might be in the wrong section on paypal.
Pretty sure for a debit card you'd have to go somewhere that says "Add a bank account".
It'll ask you for the debit card info and send you money, twice.
Something like 0.17$ and 0.23$ and ask you to confirm whenever you receive the money exactly how much they sent, just to be sure it really is YOUR account.
Your bank account won't be linked to your paypal till you confirm it.
I hope that helps!
If it is a debit card that can be used a a credit card.. I don't know what's wrong :s

You can get a few for free just by visiting your bank, it's not a real one, just one you use for when you start working somewhere and they need your bank account info or w.e.
Has all the info you need on them though :)

I'm pretty familiar with Paypal lol and from what I know that's the only way to use a debit card on it, they have to make sure it's really yours so.. of course you have to confirm it.
Unless you have a web account where you can see your transaction log updated daily or something, you might have to wait till the end of the month for the bank to send you the log.
(I don't really know how Canada Trust works though so.. yeah)
You'll have to check your transaction log to see how much the deposits were.

Oh and one more thing. Can't I just use one of my dad's checks. Or will they charge him for it; because if nothing happens can't I just use my dad's checks?

Re: Donation Trouble
What you are getting from the check is the account number and routing number.
Each account has different numbers using your dad's checks would charge his account not yours.
Paypal shouldn't charge anything to use his bank account to verify your paypal account.

Get your bank's routing number I believe it's one of the ways you need to confirm.

Re: Donation Trouble
i mean like. cant i use my dads checks to verify my account then use my debit card to pay for it. Plus my account and my sisters account all are under the same account. Because when my dad goes to the TD website. Once he types his e-mail and password he can access my and my sisters account?!?!?

That might be because you guys are underage iunno about Canada but most banks in america require you to be 18 to have your own account.
In any case you can use your dads bank info to verify your paypal then pay with your debit card but that would be redundant because you will have to wait for paypal to verify his bank account then verify your debit card. Saves time and effort if you just start with your own account info to begin with and you probably can get the info you need by calling your bank or having your dad call.

I had my debit card at 16 np, my parents didn't even have to be there for me to make the account and I could withdraw 500$ a day rofl
And tbh I don't think it works the way you think ts, there is no way you'd have a debit card linked to your dads bank account. I know if you're 14- here, your parents have to be in charge of your account, is that what you meant?
Your dad is probably in charge of the 3 accounts but they're all different accounts. If you link your dads bank account to paypal, they'll send him money (a little) and ask you to confirm, like I said earlier. If somehow you'd get your dad to tell you what the 2 amounts were, and confirm the bank account with paypal it'd mean you could pretty much buy anything you wanted with your dads bank account.. Am I missing something?
Here's a tip, buy a vanilla mastercard/visa or w.e they're called. Prepaid credit cards. You can get em pretty much anywhere, some are a set amount, 25$, 50$, etc and some are up to you, can put 100$ on it or w.e.
There is a little extra fee, 3-4$ so a 50$ one might be like 54$. You then link it to your paypal, takes a few minutes and can donate with it.

Re: Donation Trouble
I recommend moneypak. Use Visa if you want but DO NOT buy the Vanilla cards. I guarantee you it's a waste of money.

Depends, any store like DR, CVS, Wallgreens, 7 11, stuff like that usually sell them. But since I read something about Canada, I wouldn't really be too sure.
